Spotcheck: Kiasma Helsinki

Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, Finland is the location of some well known curbs, and this year they also got a sweet miniramp that will be there for the duration of the summer. Here is some information and pictures.

Miniramp

The ramp concept has been created in cooperation with the Finnish Skateboarding Federation, and was sponsored by Etnies. The ramp itself has been designed by Antti Yli-Tepsa as part of his degree in industrial design, and will stay outside the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki until the closing of the current exhibition Fluid Street on 21.9. The closing of the skating season on September 21st will be celebrated with sauna and skating. After that the miniramp is gone, but its said to be back agian next year.




Black Marble Curbs

By the statue of Mannerheim you will find several black curbs.




Y-Bench

By the side of the building a Y-shaped concrete bench is placed on a small asphalt patch along the pathway.
